Division Rivals Hate Idea of Farve Wearing Purple

With the recent announcement that Brett Favre is free to retire or join any team he so chooses after being granted his release from the Jets, everyone immediately remembers his desire to play for the Vikings last year. Chances are that desire is still there. Everyone knows the Vikings are a QB away from being a SuperBowl team, but know one has a clue if newly aquired Sage Rosenfels is that guy. Before hurting his arm last year, Brett Farve had the fourth best passer rating in the NFL, so people know he has something left to offer the right team.
But is he willing? Did he even get his arm repaired? Would the Vikings even make room for him on the roster? Only time will tell. But the mere possibility is something that our NFC rivals can’t be thrilled with. This article in the Chicago Tribune pretty well sums up just how much controversy Brett stills stirs up here in the Black and Blue division. And this one captures the excitement the potential marriage creates in fans.
But not everyone loves the idea. What do you think Vikings fans?

Mr. Visionary… You know all too well how I feel about this: I want #4 playing in Metrodome this year.
Imagine the hoopla on MNF in week four when the Green and Gold comes to town… Then 4 weeks later when #4 runs out of the Lambaeu Field Tunnel with a purple jersey…
Imagine the distain from Packer fans when #4 leads the good guys to a Superbowl…
This is so close to happening… don’t fail me now Brett.
